Spiffy recently attended an Electric Vehicles (EV) Day and returned with some excellent information all about electrification of vehicles, hybrids, and news in the EV world.
This event had everything from charging solutions, new electric vehicles, numerous Teslas, and more. Attendees learned about the differences between EV's and Hybrids, which you can learn more about here.
There were a variety of electric vehicles there including the Tesla family of vehicles, which includes the Model S, Model X and Model 3. There were also several Chevy Volts.
There are always many questions pertaining to electric vehicles, but among the top are range of vehicles and charging solutions.
Tesla's, some of the most popular EV's, typically get 250-300 miles per charge. Chevy Volts get 53 miles for the battery only, but they have a gas generator that extends to 410 miles. Last but not least, Nissan Leaf's get 151 miles per charge.
There are 3 different levels of charging stations: basic, standard, and DC charging. Attendees of this event also learned more about the differences in these stations as well as recommendations. Check out this visual for more information.
