Co founder Scot Wingo is spoken about in glowing terms by reporter Laura Baverman, Exit Event Editor of WRAL Techwire. Bull City Venture Partners shows faith in Scot Wingo once again, by investing $5m in his new venture, enabling Spiffy to expand in Los Angeles in the West Coast. Fund partners, Jason Caplain and David Jones, made a successful bet on Wingo’s previous company ChannelAdvisor in the mid-2000s when they ran BCVP predecessor Southern Capitol Ventures. This mentions about the teaming up of Scott Wingo and BCVP, who have worked together previously and were early investors in ChannelAdvisor. The article speaks about Spiffy’s strategic expansion from Raleigh to Charlotte as well Atlanta and now post Series A funding to LA. Scot Wingo is in the news once again. Scot and Karl Murphy co founded Spiffy, the RTP based startup, and post the Series A funding, are expanding to the West Coast, LA specifically, and taking over competitor Squeegy’s existing 4,000 strong customer database. It speaks of the 20 city roadmap expansion Scott Wingo plans, including cities that are similar sized or a tad bigger than Raleigh. Ever since its inception in 2014, the company has unprecedented success and there are customer testimonials to prove that.
